About Guangzhou Medical College (GZMC)

Guangzhou Medical College (GZMC) is one of strong and young medical school in Chine, located in the Northwest of Guangzhou city, Guandong province, China. Its front door is facing to the beautiful lake called Liuhua Lake. In late 1970s, the medical college resumed its new life, and has been growing up quickly. The medical graduates from the medical school have been spread all over the country and the world. Many of graduates in early 1980s have been become the chief in the departments of medical schools and hospitals. Following the open policy of the country, many graduates went to overseas, such as, the United States and Canada. They made a lot of great achievements in basic medical scientific research, clinical research, medical technology, and computer science. Many of them obtained Master or PhD degree in basic medical sciences. A lot of research papers have been published in international journals by the graduates living in overseas. A lot of graduates have passed ECFMG exam in the States. Some of them are in the clinical training program, some of them are ready to go into the training program. Many of them have finished their training, and become an attending physician in hospital. We cordially wish our medical school a splendid future in 21st century.

40th Anniversary

Guangzhou Medical College (GZMC) will held its 40th anniversary in November 1998. All alumni are welcome to join the party in the campus of GZMC for celebration.

GZMCA at the US and Canada
|
Guangzhou Medical College Alumni at the USA and Canada was established in 1980s by a group of medical graduates in the States and Canada. The main office is located in New York city. Dr. Ming Zhu is current president of the Alumni. The purposes of the organization is (1) to keep the connections between graduate, (2) to exchange information of living and studying in North America, (3) to help the alumni who have difficulties. Right now more than 150 alumni have registered in this organization and are enjoying the friendship of alumni. The Alumni published an alumni magazine, called Guang Yi Xiao Yu, annually, in which the alumni published their articles about studying, living, and traveling in North America. The magazine also reported the progresses of our medical school by the alumni who visited Guangzhou. This is a total independent and volunteering organization. Member Fee is $10 a year. It can be waived by writing a article for our alumni magazine. No matter short or long, all are welcome. We truly welcome all alumni of GZMC from all over the world to join us.
